In the excavation campaigns of 2006-2007 at Ebla two important discoveries occurred: the identification and excavation of the first temple of Early Bronze IVA and the finding of two precious, almost complete, miniature statues of females of an exceptional craftsmanship of the same period. In this contribution a description and interpretation of these remarkable discoveries are presented.
