Abstract

We redescribe Oligodon lacroixi and Maculophis bellus chapaensis, two rare snakes which have not been re- ported from Vietnam since the original descriptions in 1930s, based on three voucher specimens recently col- lected from Fansipan Mountains, northern Vietnam. The list of colubrid snakes from Fansipan Mountains is also provided.
