Abstract

Rehabilitation Robotics is a combination of industrial robotics and medical rehabilitation, which encompasses many areas including mechanical and electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, prosthetics, autonomous mobility, artificial intelligence and sensor technology. This paper outlines the area of rehabilitation robotics research and presents the results of the world survey. Three main areas of the activities are identified: workstation robots, mobile robots, and other robotic applications.
