The article discusses pediatric primary care optometry with emphasis on the identification of benign but ordinary, and atypical but life-threatening diseases. Included in the conditions discussed are myopia, binocular vision conditions, and strabismus and amblyopia. Also discussed are acute conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and Horner Syndrome as well as divergence insufficiency or paralysis, retinoblastoma, and rhabdosarcoma.
