Abstract

Sandwich-structured MoS2/C microspheres have been fabricated via a hydrothermal method followed by a heat treatment. MoS2 in the composites has a graphene-like structure of a single layer, it exhibits preferable electrochemical performance with high initial discharge capacity and good cycling stability in rechargeable Mg batteries. © The Royal Society of Chemistry 2013.
