In this issue of Neuron, a study by Chiu et al. examines the brain responses of autistic volunteers in a trust game. We speculate that this may arise because autistic individuals are unaware that they will also gain or lose reputation in their partner's eyes. © 2008 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
