Abstract

Each of 10 country profiles (on Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe) provides detailed information on the physical and human geography, environmental problems, resource base, institutional structures for environmental management and strategies for sustainable development. Much of the information is presented in map and/or table form, which enables the reader to appreciate the rapid political, economic and social changes underway in each state and their relationship to environmental resources and problems. -M.Amos
