Abstract

The article discusses the negative effects of financial crisis on the mental health with an example of Greece, consumed by the socioeconomic and cultural crisis due to international financial crisis. It also discusses factors such as job insecurity, unemployment, increasing social inequalities because of the crisis. It reveals the traits related to changes in socioeconomic conditions, the disintegration of institutions and the continuous frustration that supports the families.
