Abstract

Plant sugar signalling operates in a complex network with plant-specific hormone signalling pathways. Hexokinase was identified as an evolutionary conserved glucose sensor that integrates light, hormone and nutrient signalling to control plant growth and development. © 2005 Biochemical Society.
