Abstract

The ¯eld of multiagent systems has experienced an impor- tant growth and evolution in the past few years. Due to the agent autonomy and their need for cooperation, special attention has been paid to reputation mechanism. Several reputation models have appeared in literature o®ering solu- tions to this problem. However, each one uses their own con- cepts, terminology and ways to represent evaluations that make impossible an hypothetical transmission of social eval- uations between agents using di®erent reputation systems. In this paper we describe and present the implementation of an ontology of reputation as well as an ontology map- ping mechanism that can be used for these dialogs. When transmitting social evaluations, agents will map them into elements of this common ontology, that the receiver agents will translate to elements understandable by their particular reputation system.
