Abstract

Assessed 60 3-7 yr olds each of whom had at least 1 mentally ill parent,
for both temperamental differences and behavior disorder. Information
was obtained from parents and teachers 1 yr after the initial interviews.
Certain temperamental characteristics, especially low habit regularity
and low fastidiousness, were predictive of the development of later
psychiatric disorder. (20 ref.) (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2003
