Abstract

In this article the author questions the effectiveness of the present trend of gamification in altering human behavior. He explains the concept of gamification which is based on the assumption that gaming is engaging which lead towards motivation and invoking reinforcement learning and mentions about little research which has been conducted to prove the efficiency of game mechanics in invoking psychological phenomena like reputation or social status.
