Abstract

The dissection of the molecular mechanisms underlying tumor-cell recognition by γδ T-cells is crucial to improve their performance in cancer immunotherapy. Here, we discuss the controversy around the relative contributions of the γδ T-cell receptor (TCR) and natural killer receptors (NKRs) to tumor-cell targeting by γδ T cells. © 2013 Landes Bioscience.
