The results for the generalised faradaic and non-faradaic admittance of a half-cell are given for the case when the electron-transfers can occur via adsorbed modes. Of the several special models for which the formalism given here can be applied, mention may be made of those discussed earlier by Llopis et al.2, Laitinen and Randles3, Rangarajan4, and Armstrong and Henderson6. We show how these follow as particular cases of our general result and extend these for mass transport conditions other than semi-infinite linear diffusions, and also to evaluate the non-faradaic currents. the particular schemes for which the admittance expressions have been deduced are:
