Abstract

Poor working memory skills are relatively commonplace in childhood, and have a substantial advance impact on childrens learning. This article describes the profile of cognitive and behavioural characteristics associated with working memory, methods for assessing working memory skills, and ways of supporting the learning needs of children affected by this problem.
