Abstract

This masters thesis discusses the application of Semantic Web technologies to the automatic metadata generation and annotation process for multimedia data. It describes the architecture of a generic semantic problem solving platform that uses independent algorithms to accomplish subtasks. A~holistic vision on the metadata request harnesses more advanced problems, enabling the algorithms to interact with the solution as it is generated.
