The article presents a look at how the baby boom generation in the United States will make decisions on retirement that are different from previous generations. The article suggests that rather than retiring to a vacation lifestyle, baby boomers will continue to work in jobs that provide high personal satisfaction. Older people are also choosing not to move to seniors-only retirement communities and are instead joining cohousing neighborhood communities where a lot of socializing takes place. Baby boomers will stay active by demanding more time for hobbies from their employers and volunteering.
