Composition profile of a Saharan dust event over central Europe

Abstract

On 6 June 1998, the DLR Falcon aircraft performed a series of flights at different altitudes over central Europe. Lidar Alex mapping of the lower troposphere was used to observe the stratification of the lower troposphere and aerosol sampling was performed along the different layers. Samples and blanks were stored and subsequently analyzed.
