Abstract

The article provides information on the condition of the domestic economy of China. The economy grew in the second quarter of 2006 and declined in the third and fourth quarters due to government measures. The National Development and Reform Commission was worried about the increased production of grain-based ethanol in the country. In addition, income has increased in both urban and rural populations and investment has created a great impact on the economy.
