Abstract

The principle of the fundamental parameter approach has been applied to the analysis of airborne particulate matter by EDXRF. Elemental sensitivity has been evaluated for the particular geometry of EDXRF system. The method of emission-transmission has been used for determining matrix absorption corrections. Enrichment factors have been calculated for all elements relative to Ti as a reference element. Quality assurance of the method has been examined. Detection limits of the elements are given.
