Abstract

Describes the LISA (Library and Information Science Abstracts) database which has broad coverage of primary library and information science literature and is one of the world's leading secondary information tools for library and information scientists. Briefly describes other, similar information tools. Outlines the anatomy of LISA's contents and possibilities of its universal use, for example provision of SDI profiles or detailed bibliometric analyses. Devotes much attention to the most developed and user-friendly form of LISA - LISA on CD-ROM. Original abstract - amended
