Abstract

From data-processing installation practice, viz. development, manufacture, testing and maintenance, a report is given on measures forensuring the quality of hardware. A data-processing installation iscomposed essentially of constructional groups with printed wiringboards (in the case of a central unit these make up 70 to 80% of themanufacturing cost). Detailed consideration is therefore given tomethods of test for fitted wiring boards (flat constructional groups);the design of automatic test apparatus; preparations for testing andactivities for fault diagnosis for flat constructional groups.
