The article focuses on the restoration and preservation projects of old colonial buildings, which has been pointed out to represent a national identity, in Havana, Cuba. The Palacio de los Capitanes-Generales and the Catedral de la Habana were among the major 18th-century administrative buildings included. Brief description and information about the restoration is further presented. Information about the humidity and temperature, cultural landscape and relationship with other countries and history of the place is also provided.
