Many nurse administrators supervise the pastoral care department. The author discusses expectations which pastoral care clergy have of nurse administrators; budget information which pastoral care department heads need in order to manage their departments; relationships between social workers and clergy; and criteria for selecting a pastoral care department head. © Lippincott-Raven Publishers.
