Abstract

The first part of this chapter explores the pleasures and benefits of pornography, and you will read about Claire, who was able to discover and enjoy her sexuality for the first time because of this medium. Then I will discuss the potential impact of excessive pornography use, particularly how it can become addictive, before ending in the increasingly perilous waters of online child abuse images. The case studies featured are either composites of case work or, in the case of John, consent has been given to share his story (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2015 APA, all rights reserved).
