Loyola Marymount University launched the iPad Exploration Project (iPEP) to encourage faculty to creatively investigate the potential pedagogical uses of the iPad in higher education. This study is one of the first iPad pilot programs that is cross-discipline, collaborative, and based on pedagogical foundations. From October 2010 to March 2011, 30 faculty participants collaborated on leveraging their subject matter expertise with the iPad’s potential as a teaching and learning device. This research has implications for academia involved in the investigations of emerging research in technology, learning initiatives, and academic technology support.
