Abstract

The article offers information on the functions of the Web of Data in the U.S. It states that Web of Data offers encyclopedic facts, drug and protein data, metadata on music, books and scholarly articles, social networks representation and geospatial information. It also offers an infrastructure that supports an instatiation of a distributed graph of web resources. In addition, Web of Data can be a real medium for storing and sharing documents if the work is extended in the Linked Data community with Linked Process.
