Abstract

Objective: To explore the relationship between blogging motivation and personality of undergraduates. Methods: Blogging motivation questionnaire and Big Five Personality questionnaire were administrated to 282 undergraduates from 3 universities in Henan province. Results: (1) There were obvious differences of blogging motivation in gender and major. (2) Undergraduates' big five personality had remarkable correlation with blogging motivation. (3) Multiple regression analysis indicated that undergraduates' neuroticism to emotional expression, extraversion to gaining fame and sharing information, openness to interpersonal communication, emotional expression and sharing information had significantly positive influence; while agreeableness had negative influence on gaining fame.
