Abstract

Describes the rock cut relief and identifies the central figure as Bahram II. Also makes the point that Sasanian rock-cut reliefs do not generally exist without a depiction of the ruler. A ring/wreath being handed to the king is suggested as a borrowing from Roman depictions and to be in praise of the ruler. PDF
