Abstract

The RE-Powering America's Land initiative emphasizes renewable energydevelopment that is aligned with local communities' visions for each site, and supports the President's commitment to increase renewable energy projects. Under the program, cleanup project managers are encouraged to consider renewable energy production on their sites as a redevelopment option. EPA is providing a RE-Powering Rapid Response Team to help assess sites and implement renewable energy projects.
