Gas-liquid reactors are widely used in many industrial processes. Some new trends and considerations on selectivity, hydrodynamic and interfacial mass transfer parameters determined in conventional equipment, such as trickle bed reactors with aqueous and organic liquids or in nonconventional equipment, such as an ebullated bed of multicell scrubber and on the simulation of gas-liquid reactors emphasize some of the new aspects of gas-liquid reactor design and operation.
