Abstract

The paper provides an overview of the Personality Disorder Service (PDS) and a snapshot of the Clinical Outcome Project. The case vignettes typify the work within the service and the key themes that emerge from the perceptions and experience of clients. The information demonstrates the way this therapeutic community model has a significant value in containing, motivating and improving clients' lives. The PDS will continue to develop the analysis of outcome data to identify the effectiveness of this way of working and the relationship between severity, engagement and outcome. © The Author(s).
