This paper discusses a survey regarding tourist decision-making, conducted in the Province of New Brunswick in the Canadian Maritime Provinces. Based on the results of the survey, a model is built that incorporates the most important travel decisions in the sequence most travelers follow. A number of recommendations are made regarding the location and type of tourist facilities to be offered and promoted. © 2003 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
