Abstract

The article presents initiatives which aim to assess the information literacy competencies of students in the U.S. The Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) provides a roadmap for people who are engaged in teaching and assessing information literacy in colleges and universities.
