This article presents the speech "Fighting the Orthodoxy: Learningto be Pragmatic, which is the 2007 presidential address of Ken G.Smith. Smith discusses his start in business with his lack of managementskills, his experiences with profit sharing, and breaking down thevalue of a lost minute of work.
