Abstract

An electrochemical investigation of the reduction of chalcopyrite by copper, iron on lead in acidic solutions has confirmed that the process is galvanic in nature. The effects of such variables as agitation, acidity, sulphide concentration and temperature on the rates of the half-reactions involved are studied, and the results obtained are compared with the findings of other investigators.
