Abstract

Pipe conveyors have been in operation in Europe since the early 1980s. Today, they have become a widely used and accepted conveying system and, thus, state of the art. But not all potential fields of application have been explored because the possibilities and advantages of this handling system are still largely unknown by some potential operators, industrial branches, and countries. While the system has some constraints, these are being reduced through continuous developments.
