About image reading methods in the art education contemporary. The essay analyzes the methods of image reading of the theoreticians in art/education Edmund Feldman, Robert Ott, Michael Parsons and Abigail Housen, because we believe they are the pioneers in research on teaching reading in the image of contemporary art. Methodology uses as the relevant literature tothe subject and discusses the implications of these methods for the emergence of Triangular Proposal for the teaching of art, leading theoretical and methodological changes in this school. The reflections built according to the theories that underlie this study provided important notes about the topic covered in this work, contributing to the educational debate on the subject.
