Abstract

This chapter presents the traditional family therapy model of Structural Family Therapy. The content illustrates the systemic nature of the model by introducing the main concepts of this therapeutic approach, such as systems, subsystems, boundaries, roles and rules. As one of the original MFT models, Structural Family Therapy articulated fundamental concepts related to the practice of MFT.
