Abstract

LED is one of the best energy efficient components. As a light source, LED presents advantages as lower power consumption, higher brightness and longer lifetime. This paper presents an in-depth description of applying power line communication technology to LED lighting system. By using power lines as communication media to transfer control data, LED is controlled by existing lines on the power system. In this research, we use the LED which contains RGB tricolor in its package, so the change of color dimming can be controlled by a PWM controller. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.
