Abstract

Several mistakes need to be corrected: • In Sect. 1 (Introduction), paragraph 5, the third sentence should start “The ESI-07 scale is a twelve degrees scale” instead of “The ESI-07 scale is a 12ͦ scale”. • In Sect. 7 (Discussion), paragraph 8, in the first sentence, the portion after the second semicolon should read “consequently, it has been possible to hypothesize a new intensity value of I0 = XI ESI-07 for the 1743 event” instead of “consequently, it has been possible to hypothesize a newintensity value of I0 = XI–XII ESI-07 for the 1743 event”. • Also in Sect. 7 (Discussion), paragraph 8, the sixth sentence should start “According to the I0 = XI ESI-07 value,…” instead of “According to the I0 = XI–XII ESI-07 value,…”. Furthermore, the full reference of Porfido et al. (2015b), including DOI number, should read: Porfido S, Esposito E, Sacchi M, Molisso F, Mazzola S (2015b) Impact of ground effects for an appropriate mitigation strategy in seismic area: the example of Guatemala 1976 earthquake. In: Lollino G, Giordan D, Crosta G, Corominas J, Azzam R, Wasowski J, Sciarra N (eds) Engineering geology for society and territory, vol 2, pp 703–708. doi:10. 1007/978-3-319-09057-3.
