Abstract

Endovascular therapy of the femoropopliteal arterial segment has matured substantially over the recent years. The introduction of dedicated wire technology, reentry devices, as well as bare and drug-eluting Nitinol stents has substantially improved technical opportunities and clinical outcomes. Current technological improves are directed at further reductions of restenosis rates in this challenging arterial segment.
