Information technology and systems always had an important role in organizations and presented a competitive advantage if properly used. However, in the last few years the technological progress and new business models seems to be escalating. Companies are challenged with changes in consumer behavior, emergence of new organizations with digital business models. Although public administration is treated as an area of having no competition, and it would be anticipated that these challenges are less relevant, the external environment is also forcing it into changes. These changes are seen through the increasing number of digitalized services, emphasizing the importance of bringing e-Government towards the people etc. However, it is often overlooked that digitization is not only about the technology itself, but it should include the business process management perspective as well. The purpose of this research is thus to present important concepts related to e-Government and demonstrate its efficiency through the micro company perspective.
