A basic, tutorial presentation of computational fluid dynamics emphasizes fundamentals and surveys various solution techniques ranging from low speed incompressible flow to hypersonic flow. The notes are aimed at a student with little experience of computational fluid dynamics. Some insight into the philosophy and power of computational fluid dynamics is given, and an understanding of the governing equations, familarity with various solution techniques and a working vocabulary for the subject.
