Abstract

Having introduced a system of postulates for structuralism that allows us to represent deductive reasoning in science, we move on to defeasible reasoning and belief changes in the structuralist framework. More precisely, we shall define belief changes in the structuralist representation scheme using the inference system of preferred subtheories explained in Chap. 4.
