Abstract

With the improvement of intelligent urban parking systems, it remains a challenge to optimally solve parking problems in the busy city-center where resources are limited and congestion is intense. This paper proposes a new dynamic parking pricing system, aiming to maximize the expectations of the conductors and the parking manager. The new system is based on a multi-agent approach. The on-street parking requests arrive as a normal law and the dynamic pricing is adjusted in function of parking occupancy. Simulation results show that our multi-agent smart parking system can reduce congestion and optimize the use of parking resources, especially during peak hours.
