This chapter lays out the research methodology and method used in this study. To answer the research question raised in Chap. 1, Chap. 5 through Chap. 9 empirically examine the five types of education abroad program. This chapter explains the approaches, design, instrumental tools, sample size, data collection procedures, and limitations. This study conducts a statistical analysis of intercultural competence and a text-mining analysis of students’ reflections about their awareness of the host country.
