Abstract

To study the present status and influential factors to school violence among students in vocational schools through epidemiologic survey. With a clustered sampling method, 793 students in two vocational schools in Tang Shan were chosen to complete the questionnaire. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used for data treatment. The incidence of psychological violence, physical violence and sexual violence were 50.7, 34.8, 7.2 % respectively. Logistic regressive analysis revealed that gender, grade, census register, acts of truancy, watching violent movies and parents' cursing were possible influential factors. School violence among students in vocational schools was so serious that should be prevented by taking active measures. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.
