Abstract

Vowels form the basic block for word formation. It is the main constituent block for word pronunciation. In this paper we try to analyze the Kokborok vowels signals. Kokborok is the official language of Tripura, India. A Linear predictive coding coefficient (LPCC) feature is extracted and analyzed to recognize the vowels. Kokborok uses the English vowels format with additional vowel 'w'. We have found satisfactory recognition rate for the Kokborok vowels based on LPC analysis. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.
