An integrated curriculum is a two or more curriculum that is united and implemented in a school to provide a complete experience to learners. This research was conducted by using qualitative approach in SMP based on pesantren that implements integrated curriculum as effort of character formation of learners. The study design used case study at SMP Modern Al-Rifa'ie 2 Gondanglegi Malang Regency. By collecting data through interviews and observations it was found that an integrated curriculum system between the curriculum established by the National Education Service (Diknas), the curriculum derived from the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) and the diniyah curriculum characteristic of Al-Rifa'ie itself. With three combined curriculum, it can form the character of learners, that is the character of religious, honest, discipline, creative, independent, love homeland or nationalism, friendly/communicative, likes to read, and responsibility.
